Friday, Mom and Dad were able to enjoy a relaxing morning before they headed to the store to get supplies to work on our basement steps. They had been shaky and making me nervous, so Dad was able to brace the steps in a few places. They are SO much better now! Thanks Dad. He also helped us hang up curtains & some pictures. Mom helped hang them, and ironed each of the curtains! Thank you!
Friday night we enjoyed eating dinner together and just hanging out talking. We also watched the movie Shawshank Redemption, well they did--I feel asleep and missed the last hour.
Saturday we enjoyed a relaxed morning and nice big breakfast. We then headed off to experience some of the coast near where we live. We went to Silver Springs State Park. Here are some pictures that Dad took:
We enjoyed seeing all the various shells and the Long Island Sound. It was a bit chilly, but enjoyable. We then headed back towards New Haven and stopped at Babies R Us, where we looked at crib sets. There are some cute options! We also stopped at Trader Joe's and picked up a few things, and finally stopped at Home Depot. Dad needed to get some replacements for several pipes he had bought that were defective. After our errands we headed to Wooster Street to experience the first pizzeria in America--Pepe's.
We returned home and Dad was able to redo our dryer vent with the pipes:
We also put up some shelving in our basement and it made a huge difference in our organization downstairs! =) Here are some pictures of our "newly" arranged and organized basement. Complete with artwork on the walls! Thanks Mom & Dad!
This morning we went to church and sang in the choir. It was nice to have Mom & Dad put faces with names of people we've been telling them about. We enjoyed the service together. Afterwards we enjoyed our lunch experience at the Athenian Dinner. I drive past it pretty much every day, and have wanted to try it out. It really was good =). Here are some pictures of us, just before they left.

Fun to see and hear about your weekend together. Glad mom and dad could be there! Looks like you got a lot accomplished. I love the new set up for your blog...you'll have to let me know how you did it! Great color scheme :O)
