April Happenings

It is way overdue for me to update the blog! Since finding out about the twins life has been busy, but there were other important and fun things that happened in the month of April.

Hudson was diagnosed with a double ear infection the hour before I left to drive to Rochester, but thankfully the antibiotics seemed to kick in quickly and he felt better soon. So Hudson and I started the month in Rochester going to my sister Ellen's bridal shower. I was thrilled that I got a chance to be there for the event and spend time with my sisters and family. I didn't take many pictures, but here's a few...

After returning home we enjoyed some trips to the playground with our friends. Hudson sat in a swing and went down the slide for the first time and really enjoyed both of them. He is pretty funny about not wanting to crawl on surfaces that are new to him (pavement, grass, the playground), so he was easy to keep track of! I'm sure that will all be changing soon.

We also had lots of fun at home. Hudson still loves to read. He is frequently found pulling books out of his basket and flipping through the pages. This month he got into putting shapes into his shape sorter and can do some shapes all by himself now. He also has become a little snuggler. It was almost the same time we found out about the twins that he started to want to cuddle more and suck his thumb again--perhaps his way of getting his alone time. He also discovered his love for the Sound of Music. He is entranced with the music, especially the songs sung by Julie Andrews.

Hudson also enjoyed getting his Easter basket from Grandma and enjoys playing/wearing her gifts! Thanks Grandma! She also got him his adorable Easter outfit and hat. The three of us had a great time spending Easter with great friends and their family. It was a great day of food and fun. Hudson got to find some Easter eggs, and loved chasing after Pearl.

We ended the month back in Rochester for Aunt Ellen's wedding! Hudson enjoyed all the attention from his Grammy, aunts, great aunts and great grandparents.

The wedding was beautiful and we all enjoyed it. Hudson is thrilled to have an official Uncle Nick and Jason now has a brother-in-law! A beautiful day and a great couple--congratulations Aunt Ellen and Uncle Nick. (Photos taken by either my sister Karen or the official photographer)

Hudson was getting sick the day of the wedding and when we returned we discovered he had another double ear infection, so that explained his fussiness. Poor kid...
