4th of July

We enjoyed our first 4th of July in Connecticut. We were able to join our friends at a beach house in Westbrook, and we had a great time at the beach. This was Hudson's first time to try out the water....

So we got him all ready and took him up to the water....once his feet hit the water he started SCREAMING! We attracted quite a bit of attention and Hudson got a lot of sympathy from most people on the beach. We tried another time (after calming him down in between) but he still wasn't happy. We'll keep trying. Here are some pictures of Hudson's time near the water.

After the beach time we headed back to the house to relax. Hudson decided to show off his new Jean diaper to Julia (Daddy couldn't resist them at the store ;-)). He does look cute doesn't he!!

We ended our time in Westbrook enjoying some great pizza and Hudson spent time playing on the grass on a blanket (unless he rolled off onto the grass--which he wasn't too thrilled about). It was a great time with friends!
