Our big trip down South

Hudson and I were able to take a big trip down to North Carolina and Virginia from the end of August through September 10th. Jason took me to Harrisburg where we spent a few days with his mom and saw Jason's dad and grandparents.

Jason headed back to Connecticut to start his semester and Hudson and I headed down South with my mom. Our initial reason to travel was to attend the wedding of my good friend Ali. We were able to spend a few days before the wedding with her. Hudson loved her dog Holly! I wasn't sure what he would do with the dog because he had never seen a dog up close. He was initially frightened by her but very quickly let her lick his hand and face and was laughing with her. One of the cutest things was that Holly came up to Hudson with her special bone and tried to offer it too him--he even won the dog over with his charm! ;-)

It was fun to be reunited with Kristin and Salli and spend time together helping our dear friend prepare for her wedding. Wonderful time and lots of fun!

After Ali & Daniel's wedding we headed to Hendersonville, NC to visit with my Grandma. This was the first time she met Hudson. We had a wonderful time visiting with her and Hudson charmed the residents in the retirement community!

Hudson brought a lot of joy to many different people

We then headed to Richmond, VA to visit Joan--she is like another Grandma. She also was meeting Hudson for the first time. My sister Allison flew down to meet us there. We really enjoyed our visit with Joan!

On the way back to Harrisburg we were able to see my Uncle Art for lunch. It was fun to see him again, and he begrudgingly allowed us to take his picture ;-).

Back in Harrisburg we of course stopped at Chick-fil-a =)

Hudson really enjoys the bathroom here--he insists on getting his diaper & clothes changed ;-)

It was a wonderful trip, and I am so thankful that my mom was there to help! I couldn't have done it without her. Hudson by the end of the trip was ALMOST crawling. He was able to sit up by himself easily and moving around a lot. It was just a few days after we got home that he started to crawl--I think he just wanted to wait for Daddy.

We really missed Daddy & were SO happy to see him again!
